Urban Nymph

.
“And here we find little Daphne
in her place behind the door,
peeping over the papers
in her pending tray.
Not the liveliest member of the team
perhaps but, as I always say,
so diligent!
Always so willing to stay a bit late,
and perfectly able to step up too
if one of the more prominent
members of staff is away.
Such a lamb, Daphne.”
